[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Alerts

The national weather service has issued a flood warning for our area. The Mojave River has already passed the flood stage with moderate flooding occuring in some locations. Heaviest rain is expected early Wednesday morning with the possibility of additional precipitation pushing the flooding further north. Main access roads may be closed for several days. Residents are requested to take precautionary measures.


As of 5:00 p.m., the following roads are currently closed in the City:

Lemon from I Avenue to Timberlane
Choiceana from Verano to Lilac
Talisman from Moreno to Choiceana
C Avenue from Chestnut to Hercules
C Avenue from Mojave to Mauna Loa
Santa Fe from Live Oak to Lemon
State Rt. 173 from Highway 138 to Lake Arrowhead Road
Rock Springs Road from Glendale to Deep Creek Road
Mojave from C Avenue to Santa Fe
Mauna Loa from C Avenue to E Avenue

The City of Hesperia will continue to monitor the storm and post updates on road conditions and other storm related information to our website. The Town of Apple Valley is also monitoring road conditions, and has posted pertinent information on their website.
