Do you have ideas about how to make the City of Hesperia a better place for future generations? Now is your chance to share with the community. Each year in August the City of Hesperia and Advance Disposal partner to choose the winning pictures from the poster contest for display in the City of Hesperia Environmental Awareness Calendar. The City of Hesperia is looking for artwork that expresses ways to protect, preserve and promote the Hesperia environment in the areas of littering, recycling, water conservation, energy and citizens in action.
To enter the contest, participating students must attend a Hesperia Unified School District public school. All contest entry artwork must be the student's original, hand-drawn creation using crayons, colored pencils, markers, or paints and submitted on 8.5 x 11 paper. Clipart, photographs, duplicated artwork, mechanically or electronically generated artwork is ineligible. All entries will be judged for both clarity of the message and the quality of the artwork. The top thirteen artwork winners will be featured in the City of Hesperia Environmental Awareness Calendar the following year.
