Overview

As of February 21, 2012, the City of Hesperia has a new and improved Bulky Item pick-up program that now includes Multi-family complexes. In order to alleviate illegal dumping and as a convenience to their customers, Advance Disposal will pick up large items curbside for free from single family residences and multi-family complexes by calling (760) 244-9773, to schedule an appointment.

Single Family Bulky Waste

Single family residents can schedule four (4) times per year a pick-up of a maximum of eight (8) bulky items per year. Arrangements for a bulky waste collection must be made at least one (1) week in advance, and items must be placed at curbside by 6:00 am on the assigned collection day. Advance Disposal will not be obligated to collect items left at the curb after 6:00 am or without an appointment scheduled. Additional bulky item collections in excess of the eight (8) allowed will be billed at the rate identified in the Maximum Rate Schedule approved by City Council.

Multi-Family Bulky Waste

Multi-family residential complexes can schedule bulky waste collections ten (10) times per year for each time per week that the complex receives regular trash collection service. For example, a complex that receives three (3) trash collections per week is eligible to receive up to thirty (30) bulky waste collections in a twelve (12) month period free-of-charge. Arrangements for a bulky waste collection must be made at least one (1) week in advance of the desired pick-up date. Additional bulky waste collections will be charged at the rate identified in the Maximum Rate Schedule approved by City Council. Advance Disposal will not be required to pick up more than eight (8) bulky items in a single collection trip.

Residents must call Advance Disposal to schedule a bulky item pick-up time.

Residents are also welcome to take their items directly to Advance Disposal. In order to utilize this service all payments must be current with Advance Disposal. The total of items picked up from a residence will be kept on record.

Neighborhood Beautification Day

Neighborhood Beautification Day allows residents the perfect opportunity to dispose of several items for FREE. These items include: 

• Mattresses
• Carpet
• Furniture 
• Appliances

Neighborhood Beautification Day events are scheduled on an quarterly basis.
