The City of Hesperia is proud to claim Advance Disposal as the first Material Recover Facility (MRF) in Hesperia, which has been a family owned and operated facility since 1965.
As our local hauler, Advance Disposal is responsible not only for the proper disposal of the community’s trash and rubbish, but also for recyclable items including:
- Cans
- Glass
- Cardboard
- Green waste
Advance Disposal runs a system that makes recycling much easier on the residents by accepting all trash and source separating it for us at the MRF, which relieves us from having to do it at the curb.
Single Stream Recycling
The City of Hesperia utilizes Advance Disposal as the franchise waste hauler for all trash generated within the City. All trash collected within the City is taken to Advance Disposal's mixed waste, or single stream, MRF. This means that residents do not need to use separate containers for curbside recycling of plastic, glass, metal, wood, yard waste, paper, aluminum or tin as all these materials go through a rigorous collection and diversion process at the MRF which includes hand sorting as well as a number of technological means including screens, shakers and magnetic devices to separate the various materials collected and divert recyclables from the landfill.
