The City of Hesperia's Adopt-a-Street program is part of a litter-reduction campaign designed to remove litter and debris from City roads and improve the quality of our environment. This program establishes a partnership between volunteer groups and the City of Hesperia by working together in an effort to control litter in the public right-of-way.
Who May Apply
- Individuals
- Service Organizations
- Businesses
- Families
Adoptable Streets
- City of Hesperia streets
- Streets approved by the coordinator
- Streets not already adopted by another group
Required Commitments
- Commit to adopting one-mile of a City street
- Remove litter and weeds a minimum of four times a year
- Make a two-year commitment
Volunteer Information
As a volunteer, you will receive:
- A safety orientation from the Adopt-a-Street Coordinator
- Safety equipment including safety vests, gloves, trash bags and road warning signs
- Two Adopt- a-Street signs announcing your sponsorship, located at the limits of your adopted one-mile section
- An opportunity to contribute to community beautification
- Recognition for a job well done
