Adopt-a-Street

The City of Hesperia's Adopt-a-Street program is part of a litter-reduction campaign designed to remove litter and debris from City roads and improve the quality of our environment.  This program establishes a partnership between volunteer groups and the City of Hesperia by working together in an effort to control litter in the public right-of-way.

Who May Apply

  • Individuals
  • Service Organizations
  • Businesses
  • Families 

Adoptable Streets

  • City of Hesperia streets
  • Streets approved by the coordinator
  • Streets not already adopted by another group
     

Required Commitments

  • Commit to adopting one-mile of a City street
  • Remove litter and weeds a minimum of four times a year
  • Make a two-year commitment 

Volunteer Information

 As a volunteer, you will receive: 

  • A safety orientation from the Adopt-a-Street Coordinator
  • Safety equipment including safety vests, gloves, trash bags and road warning signs
  • Two Adopt- a-Street signs announcing your sponsorship, located at the limits of your adopted one-mile section 
  • An opportunity to contribute to community beautification
  • Recognition for a job well done
