November 4, 2014 City Council Candidate Election Information
The next General Election for the City of Hesperia will be held on November 4, 2014. Three Council seats will be up for election at that time. Please check back for more information.

The City of Hesperia consolidates with the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters Office
for all municipal elections. The City Clerk serves as the election officer and the City Clerk's Office is responsible for all candidates' filings, the issuance and acceptance of nomination papers, City measures and publication of all legal notices as well as campaign and conflict of interest filings required by the Fair Political Practices Commission
Regular elections are conducted in November of even-numbered years for the purpose of electing City Council members or placing special measures and bond issues before the community. Special elections may be called by the City Council for the purpose of referendum / initiative or for recall.
Council members are elected at-large, meaning they do not represent any one district or area within the City. All City Council members do not have term limits. The next general election for the City of Hesperia will be held on November 4, 2014. Three City Council seats will be up for election at that time.
The City Council is elected at-large to serve four-year overlapping terms. Council members also serve as Board Members on the City's subsidiary districts, which include the Hesperia:
The positions of Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem are one-year terms, with the selection voted upon by the Council members at the first meeting in December of each year.
