Overview
Building codes set the minimum standards for all aspects of building construction, from design to finish, with the goal of protecting public health, safety and welfare in a given area. Therefore, building codes cover various areas of construction, including:

Current Adopted Codes
The adopted codes currently utilized by the Building & Safety Division are:
Design Loads
- Wind load – 85 mph, exposure C
- Snow load – 5 lbs
