The City of Hesperia values the citizen's perspective on how well we serve the community's needs. The City Council relies on the members of its advisory committees to provide advice and make recommendations in many areas of City services.
Applications can be submitted at any time and are kept on file for one year to be reviewed for regular appointments or if an unexpected vacancy occurs. All applicants must be a United States Citizen as evidenced by current voter registration status which the City Clerk's Office will verify with the County Elections Office at the time of application submission.
A brief description of each committee’s responsibilities can be obtained from by visiting the Commissions & Committee page under the City Clerk Department or by contacting the City Clerk. Please check the box next to the name of the committee you wish to serve. If you have an interest in being considered for more than one committee, indicate that by numbering your preferences (No. 1 being your first choice).
Note residency requirements:

PLANNING COMMISSIONERS: Must reside in Hesperia or its sphere of influence. Commissioners are also required to file annual Conflict of Interest Statements as per the Political Reform Act (Government Code sections 87000-91015).

ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Must be a Hesperia resident.
