You can help first responders in our community by preparing for an emergency in the event a disaster strikes. The goal of National Preparedness Month is to increase the overall number of individuals that engage in preparedness actions.
Please take a moment to sign yourself up on Alert Hesperia, the City’s new emergency notification system, so that you may be notified in the event of an emergency or disaster. It only takes a moment and ensures you and your loved ones know as soon as there is a major event within the City. Feel free to share this information with others outside of work so they may enroll as well.

Your family may not be together if a disaster strikes. Know how you will be prepared and contact one another to reconnect if separated. Follow these simple steps to get started:
Step 1: Know what disasters could affect your area www.ready.gov/be-informed
Step 2: Gather supplies and create an emergency kit for your car and household (see attached)
Step 3: Fill out a family emergency plan (see attached)
