Fire Hazard Abatements
Living in the desert, it is critical that every resident do what they can to reduce fire hazards in our community. The City of Hesperia contracts with San Bernardino County Fire Hazard Abatement to ensure that each property in the City has defensible space. Here are some basic guidelines:
- Remove all tumbleweeds from your property
- Remove limbs and debris from salt cedar trees that are within six (6) feet of the ground.
- Remove all dead plants and undergrowth
- Maintain grasses and weeds below four inches, excluding ornamental grasses.
To file a complaint, please contact San Bernardino County Fire Hazard Abatement at (760)995-8140, option 5 or through the online complaint form.
