Tire Amnesty

Visit CalRecycle's website and use the "Search for a Tire Recycler" tool to find a tire recycler near you. Contact each tire recycler for disposal fees and requirements.

The City of Hesperia, in conjunction with the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), holds Tire Amnesty Day events on four Saturdays each year. On Tire Amnesty Days, passenger and light-truck tires may be dropped off free of charge across the street from Advance Disposal located at 17105 Mesa Street (enter from Santa Fe only) between 7:30 am and 12:00 noon.

There are currently no scheduled Tire Amnesty Day events. 

Guidelines & Restrictions 

  • These events are open to Hesperia residents only
  • Please bring valid identification (i.e., driver's license, water bill) as proof of residency
  • Under the terms of the grant, tires from commercial dealers cannot be accepted
  • A maximum of nine rimless tires per vehicle and/or address will be accepted
  • Semi-tractor tires over 44" or tires with rims will not be accepted
