The Purchasing Section’s goal is to ensure the acquisition of quality goods and services at the best value to the City, which includes the following:
  • Overseeing the competitive bidding process and supplier selection for all City Departments
  • Providing contract management services
  • Serving as the central point of contact for vendors and bidders for all products and general services

It is the City’s goal to purchase necessary supplies, services and equipment at the lowest possible cost, but consistent with the quality needed to meet the City's requirements, ensuring that taxpayers receive the maximum value for each dollar expended.
