Hazardous Materials

Household Hazardous Waste Facility
The City of Hesperia and San Bernardino County Fire Hazmat have been committed for many years to consistent, coordinated and high-quality hazardous material programs.

Disposal of residential hazardous and electronic waste is free. View information on what kinds of hazardous waste the facility accepts and what it does not accept.

As part of an overall Fire Department transition, the Hazardous Materials Division of the County Fire Department now provides a variety of services to the City of Hesperia that include:
  • Performing routine compliance inspections as the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA)
  • Operating the household hazardous waste collection facility
  • Overseeing the remediation of contaminated sites
  • Responding to citizen complaints and hazardous materials emergencies

While some changes can be expected over time, the City of Hesperia and San Bernardino County Fire Hazmat will continue to commit to quality of service.

A Friendly Reminder
Our drinking water comes from groundwater. Never pour oil on the ground, in the trash or in storm drains. Dispose of used motor oil ONLY at a used oil collection center - like Hesperia's Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
